Golden Gate Park Polo Fields History
Golden Gate Park, built and opened in the 1870s, is one of America's most
famous and well-attended public parks. In fact, only Central Park in New York and Lincoln Park in Chicago are more visited
that Golden Gate Park. The Polo Fields is a stadium located on the grounds that was opened back in 1906 and originally called
Golden Gate Park Stadium. Original planning called for the venue to be an amphitheater capable of seating up to 60,000 people.
While that never came to fruition, it is a formidable venue that sees some fantastic spectacles each and every year.
Golden Gate Park Polo Fields Events
Golden Gate Park is one of the best attractions to see in a city filled with
great sightseeing options. Try to make these tickets into a special weekend with your sweetheart by hand getting to see a
show, performance or sporting event at Golden Gate Park's Polo Field, and then visiting the rest of the city to see the Golden
Gate Bridge, Lombard Street, Alcatraz, the sea lions, the cable cars and Chinatown. Just because the name says Polo Field
doesn't mean that that's all that goes on here. The Golden Gate Park's Polo Field will host other events and festivals throughout
the year.Perhaps the biggest annual event held at this venue is the Outside Lands Music Festival, which is an August tradition
at Golden Gate Park. This year's festival will be held from August 8th to 10th and will feature such top acts as Kanye West,
Artic Monkeys and the Killers, just to name a few.

States of America, and the world. The city is hailed for its moderate climate, cultural scene and architecture. It is also
the sight of the Golden Gate Bridge, one of the most famous bridges in the entire world. This city has plenty of entertainment
to offer residents and visitors, including pro sports teams, great concert venues and incredible theater troupes.
