Golden State Warriors Road Schedule in 2013-14

The Golden State Warriors are ready to battle it out on the road all season long as they visit some of the toughest teams in the Western and East Conferences in 2012-13. The Warriors play in the Pacific Division in the Western Conference, a division that features a number of tough teams each and every season. Golden State was able to earn second place in the Pacific standings last season with a 47-35 record, which was also good enough to earn them the sixth seed in the Western Conference playoffs. The Warriors are looking to take their collective game to the next level this season, and adding a veteran like Andre Iguodala in the offseason should help that cause. This Warriors team is stocked with talent, which they'll need to get them through some tough stretches of road games in 2013-14.

One team that the Warriors are sure to play hard against on the road this season is the Los Angeles Clippers. The Clippers are one of the best teams in the conference and are a real threat to win the division title in 2013-14. With point guard Chris Paul leading the charge, the Clips are not going to be easy to sink. If the Warriors can earn some big victories at the Staples Center this season, it will go a long way in contending for the division crown.

Golden State will look to prove that they're one of the top teams in the conference this season when they head to Oklahoma City this season to face the Thunder. The Thunder are considered by some to be the favorite to represent the West in the NBA Finals this season, as they did just two years ago. If the Warriors can show that they're capable of playing with the elite teams in the West while on the road this season, it will show that they're ready for the big time.

Golden State Warriors Team Info

The Golden State Warriors are a team that plays in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference, a division where the Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers play as well. The Warriors are coming off an exciting season in which they somewhat unexpectedly won a playoff series against the higher-seeded Denver Nuggets. Warriors fans have high hopes for this young team, as they appear to be a squad on the rise in the Western Conference. The Warriors have one of the best guards in the National Basketball Association in Steph Curry. Curry is one of the top shooters in the league, perhaps one of the best ever, and is capable of lighting it up from deep like few players we've ever seen in the NBA. Curry has another sharpshooter in the backcourt with him in Klay Thompson, who has shown some serious promise at the two spot. The team made a big splash in the offseason when they cleared enough cap space to sign small forward Andre Iguodala in free agency. Iguodala gives the Warriors an elite defender that as capable of locking down even the top offensive players in the league, as well as solid ball distributor from the small forward position. Add in David Lee and Andrew Bogut down low and you've all the makings for a dangerous playoff team whose ceiling just keeps getting higher and higher as the youngsters develop.

Fan Experience

When you head out to a game put on by the National Basketball Association, be prepared to be wowed by some of the top athletes in the entire world. Home games are always an incredible experience, but heading to a road contest in person that features your favorite team in hostile territory is a thrill ride in itself. You'll find yourself bonding with any fellow fans of the Warriors that you find in the stands, and when Golden State pulls ahead late in the game you'll love the hush that comes over the home crowd. Enjoy it for yourself this season as the Warriors take to the road.

Golden State Warriors Trivia

With what pick did the Golden State Warriors draft star guard Steph Curry?

The answer is the seventh overall pick in the NBA Draft. The New York Knicks were all but guaranteed to select the Davidson product with the eighth pick that year, but the Warriors intelligently grabbed the guard and altered the course of their history.

Golden State Warriors History

The Golden State Warriors franchise was founded in 1946, and the team back then was known as the Philadelphia Warriors. The organization moved west in 1962, settling in San Francisco before moving across the bay to Oakland in 1971. The team was then renamed the Golden State Warriors. The organization has won six conference titles over the years, taking home the NBA Championship twice. The Warriors are looking to add another title to their trophy case as soon as possible.
