The Golden State Warriors - Schedule in 2013-14

The Golden State Warriors are ready to hit the battlefield that is the basketball court this season to take on all of the best teams in the National Basketball Association. The Warriors have one of the most exciting groups of players in the league, and fans all over the country love to see this team suit up and showcase their abilities on the court. The Warriors have high hopes this season following a solid showing in the postseason in 2012-13, as they're looking to carry that momentum they gained into the 2013-14 campaign. The Warriors play in the Pacific Division in the Western Conference, a division that features a number of tough teams each and every season. Golden State was able to finish second in the division standing last season with a 47-35 record, good enough to earn them the sixth seed in the postseason. The Warriors are hoping to shoot up the conference standings this season, and they definitely have the firepower to make it happen. The Warriors have one of the league's budding star players in point guard Steph Curry. Curry is one of the best shooters in the league and a guy that can catch fire quicker than just about anyone in the NBA. When he's got it going, there is no stopping him as he swishes long distance jumpers from anywhere on the court. Curry's backcourt mate, Klay Thompson, is another dead-eye shooter, and this duo makes for a matchup nightmare for opposing teams on a nightly basis. The team also made a big move in the offseason to bring in forward Andre Iguodala, a defensive ace that brings a little bit of everything to the offensive end of the floor. This could be a great season for the Golden State Warriors in 2013-14.

Oracle Arena is sure to be rocking any time the Los Angeles Clippers head to northern California to face off with the Golden State Warriors. The Clippers won the Pacific Division last season and are viewed by many as the favorite to capture the division crown in 2013-14, but Golden State surely will have a thing or two to say about that. The Clippers have two of the best players in the Western Conference in Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, and they spur on the Clipper attack each and every time the Clips take the floor. Curry and Paul are sure to have some big games for their respective teams when these two clubs match up, and that could result in the kind of fireworks that fans will not want to miss seeing in person. Each game these two teams play could mean all the difference in the division standings once the end of the regular season rolls around.

The Warriors will surely be anticipating any matchups they have with the Oklahoma City Thunder this season. The Thunder landed the top seed in the conference last season and look like legitimate NBA Championship contenders in 2013-14, so the Warriors will view matchups with Oklahoma City as opportunities to prove that they've joined the upper echelon in the Western Conference. The Thunder have one of the best scorers in the NBA in Kevin Durant, and matching up with such a player is where the offseason acquisition of Iguodala could really pay off. Iguodala is one of the premier perimeter defenders in the league and can do about as good a job on a player like Durant as possible. Some nights there is simply no slowing down a player of Durant's caliber, but the Warriors will do everything they can in an effort to do so.

The Warriors have one of the most exciting teams in the NBA, as well as one of the most exciting players in the league in Steph Curry. Curry is a not only a dead-eye shooter but also a very good point guard as this juncture in his career. He can get hot at a moment's notice and suddenly throw up 20 points in a single quarter. There are few things more exciting in the NBA than seeing Curry when he's on fire. With the addition of Andre Iguodala in the offseason, the Warriors look to have one of the best starting lineups in the NBA as well as an elite defender capable of shutting top players down.
