Gorge Amphitheatre History
Gorge Amphitheatre has long been a favorite of music lovers in the Pacific Northwest
as well as anyone who has had the privilege of traveling there. Settled in the small town of George, Washington just above
the Columbia River, Gorge Amphitheatre is one of the most beautiful outdoor concert venues in the world and is regularly voted
as one of the top music venues in the United States by publications like Pollstar and ConcertBoom. The venue is able to attract
fans from all over the state of Washington as it is located almost exactly halfway between Seattle on the west and Spokane
on the east. Also affectionately called The Gorge at George the venue was originally known as Champs de Brionne Music Theatre.

the place to be. In addition to the annual Sasquatch! Music Festival which is one of the largest and most popular outdoor
music festivals in the United States, Gorge Amphitheatre also is host to many other music festivals including Rock the Bells,
H.O.R.D.E. Festival, Ozzfest, the Vans Warped Tour, and the wildly popular Paradiso Festival, among others. Additionally,
many of the biggest musical acts in the world take the stage at Gorge Amphitheatre including Bruno Mars, Dave Matthews Bands,
Aerosmith, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, the Zac Brown Band, and more.

is located just outside of Seattle in George, Washington. Seattle the largest city in the Pacific Northwest and there is always
an abundance of things to see and do in and around the city. The Puget Sound is one of the most recognizable geographic features
of the Pacific Northwest and offers fishing trips as well as boat rides out to the ocean to see orcas in the wild. The city

of world class athleticism on display at the professional level. Additionally college athletics at the University of Washington
provide thrilling Division I Pac 12 competition in a variety of sports.

Trivia
One of the most popular acts to perform at Gorge Amphitheatre is local
favorites Pearl Jam who have played the venue several times over the years and released the live album 05/06, a box set which
chronicles all of the shows the band played at the venue from 2005 through 2006.
