Great Falls Symphony
The Symphonic orchestra and
choirs are made up of members from the Great Falls area and surrounding communities. Some even come to audition for a coveted
spot in the orchestra from as far as 200 miles away. The season consists of seven concerts, not including special events and
free summer pops concerts. The orchestra also offers free educational concerts for Great Falls public and private schools,

years. They are currently led by music director and conductor Gordon J. Johnson who has been twice awarded the prestigious
Ruth Lorraine Close Award for doctoral studies and has made numerous appearances with the Kumamoto Symphony in Japan. The
L'Orchestra Nationale de Musique in Toulon France and the Wilmslow and Blackburn Symphonies in England. They Great Falls Symphony
is unique in that it also includes a symphonic choir. The group of talented singers and performers is led by symphonic choir
conductor Paul Ritter who was the Supervisor of Fine Arts for the Missoula County Public Schools. With lots of talent and
