The Green Bay Packers - Schedule in 2014

When the Packers are locked in a heated matchup with a bitter rival, there is only one place to be, and it definitely isn't sitting on your couch hoping to get a glimpse of the game on the disappointing little flat screen. Come out and see if Aaron Rodgers can sling the Packers back to the top of the NFC North standings, though that's never easy thanks to a steady stream of talented foes they'll have to play during the year. But no matter who they end up playing, Rodgers is known for being able to dice up a secondary like none other, though you also don't want to make the mistake of thinking that the Packers are a one-trick pony. This is a team that has plenty of surrounding talent, from explosive wideouts to one of the best group of cornerbacks in the league, providing the type of balance that routinely makes them one of the toughest teams in the league to beat.

As the Packers look to pile up the wins and make another move back to the playoffs, fans will be treated to plenty of ankle-breaking jukes, eye-popping throws and spectacular catches, which have become the norm over the years for the Packers. Will you be there when the Pack is digging in late in the fourth quarter looking to make one more big play to seal the deal? This is a team with a schedule you will want to keep your eye on once again this season. As always, the Bears, Vikings and Lions will make the difficult trip to Lambeau Field. The Packers will also welcome the Panthers, Eagles and New England Patriots to the Frozen Tundra this fall.

The Team

The Green Bay Packers came into the 2013 favored by many to win the NFC North division title, and they were able to pull it off in dramatic fashion with a stunning last-second win in the last game of the regular season. This season, with a healthy Rodgers looking to reassert himself as the best signal caller in the league, the Packers are hoping to make it to the top of the standings a little easier, providing plenty of reasons to head out and see the Packers the way they were meant to be seen as they're looking to dominate the opposition and give their fans another memorable season. As soon as you're there watching the big game, you'll definitely be glad that you're not sitting anywhere else.

The Experience

Prepare to join the Cheeseheads this season at the legendary Lambeau Field, the football venue that probably has more history than any other in the National Football League. Lambeau field might be the mecca of the NFL when you consider the number of championships the Green Bay Packers have won and the constant influx of great players to don the Packers' green and gold over the years. But you also don't need to just squeeze into the game at the last second, as the experience actually starts a whole lot earlier than kickoff. Get ready for some great tailgating when you get to Lambeau Field early, as the folks in Green Bay don't mess around.

Packers Trivia

Who was the first player that the Green Bay Packers ever signed in free agency?

The answer is defensive lineman Reggie White, who went on to become one of the Packer greats and a Hall-of-Famer. With that type of precedent, it's easy to see that this is a franchise that knows a thing or two about bringing in talented players to support their draft picks, helping to make them one of the toughest teams in the league on a regular basis.

History

The Green Bay Packers organization was founded in 1919 and is the third-oldest franchise in the history of the National Football League. The most unique thing about the Packers is that the team is owned by the community of Green Bay, and it's the only one of its kind in major sports. The Packers play their home games at Lambeau Field, where many a great contest has been played in the history of the stadium. The harsh Green Bay weather in the winter has resulted in the field often being referred to as "The Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field."

The Packers were an especially dominant force early on in their history, winning 9 NFL Championships in the pre-Super Bowl era. Once the Super Bowl came to be, the Packers kept right on rolling, winning both Super Bowl I and Super Bowl II under the tutelage of famed head coach Vince Lombardi, for whom the Super Bowl trophy is named. The franchise added another Super Bowl title when they won Super Bowl XXXI under the leadership of Brett Favre, and another in 2010 with Aaron Rodgers at the helm.

The Fans

Lambeau Field is one of the most famous places in all of professional sports, as it has a storied history of big game after big game thanks to the Packers and one of the best fan bases in the entire world. Come out to Lambeau and you'll be a part of history as the Packers look to give their fans another amazing season that will have fans buzzing all over town. When the game is on the line and the Packers are digging in looking to put the final touches on a great win, you'll definitely be glad that you're sitting alongside tens of thousands of your fellow Packers fans.
