From these songwriter rounds to charity nights to community dances, Greg Bates quickly developed his skills as a writer and singer to find his rightful place in Nashville. By the time he graduated from Belmont University with a degree in music business, Bates had already set up meetings with publishers who expressed interest in his songs.
