Hard Rock/Metal first appeared on the music scene in the late 1960s to the early 1970s. It has roots in blues-rock and psychedelic rock and the bands that created heavy metal developed a think, heavy guitar-and-drums-centered sound. There is also a highly amplified distortion and fast guitar solos. The worldwide followers of hard rock and heavy metal are known as “metalheads” and “headbangers” in the industry.
There are many different artists and groups that can be categorized as hard rock and heavy metal bands. These bands include: Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple. Knock-offs of the original sound are called glam metal and thrash metal. If you’re a big fan, get your Hard Rock/Metal tickets as soon as possible and don’t miss the show!
