Paralleling other metalcore bands like Earth Crisis, Converge and Integrity, Hatebreed's frontman, Jamey Jasta, defines
the band's style as Celtic Frost Hardcore. The band was founded in 1994 in New Haven and Bridgeport. They started out recording
a three-song demo and peddling it to locals. Those three tunes eventually went to a split seven-inch in 1995 with New York's
Neglect. They trailed that up with the celebrated EP Under the Knife in 1996. They embarked on an East Coast/Midwestern tour
to support this release with the UKHC band Voorhees. The subsequent year they released Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire,
which sold more copies than any debut in the history of the Victory Records company.
Hatebreed toured with national metal bands like the Deftones, Entombed, Slayer and Napalm Death, which inspired their music
and garnered the attention of many non-hardcore fans. These influences were evident on Hatebreed's next two releases, Perseverance
(2002) and The Rise of Brutality (2003). Following the release of The Rise of Brutality, Hatebreed participated in the Unholy
Alliance tour in Europe in 2004. The tour featured Slipknot, Slayer and Mastodon. Two years later, Hatebreed embarked on another
European tour, which included a stop at the Download Festival in Donnington, U.K. Immediately following this tour, they took
the main stage at Ozzfest 2006 where Lacuna Coil, Avenged Sevenfold, System of a Down, Disturbed and DragonForce were also
accounted for. If you'd like to learn more about Hatebreed and concert tickets, stay tuned to StubHub. StubHub offers the
