Head Automatica is a New York-bred indie rock band that combines energetic beats with a hard-rocking style to bring a completely original brand of indie music to the forefront of the industry. Head Automatica got started thanks to an unlikely partnership between Glassjaw vocalist Daryl Palumbo and Gorillaz producer Dan the Automator, and anyone who has gotten Glassjaw tickets to live shows will be guaranteed to enjoy the live tunes of Head Automatica!
Moving from an indie music style peppered with electronica notes to one more influenced by a '70s pop style, Head Automatica has blossomed into an eclectic and extremely popular indie rock outfit. Head Automatica first made a splash on the music scene in 2004 with the album Decadence, an electronica-tinged compilation boasting smash singles "Brooklyn Is Burning" and "Beating Heart Baby." Head Automatica has since notched another Billboard 200 hit in the 2006 album Propaganda, and several more popular tracks have quickly made this raucous crew a mainstay on the indie rock scene.
