Heart was formed in 1963 under the name "The Army," and they also used "White Heart" as a moniker from time to time. Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson began to headline the band. Ultimately, they settled on the name "Heart," and had their first success in Canada, where the band had moved so male members of the group could avoid the draft for the Vietnam War. Since the 1970's, when they hit the mass market for the first time, the band has released nearly 20 albums, all of which have hit the charts.
