Heat - Pelicans

Heat Pelicans

Heat-Pelicans in 2013-14

One look at the Miami Heat or New Orleans Pelicans schedule in 2013-2014 is sure to have fans salivating at the many different possibilities, as these are two teams that have plenty of talent and expectations from their fan bases. These two teams get a chance to play each other each and every season, making for a steady string of great matchups that routinely have fans buzzing all over town leading up to tip-off.

Once you're there in the stands participating in the buzz of the crowd for all the crucial moments of a big game, you'll understand loud and clear what all the excitement is about, as Heat-Pelicans matchups are definitely no joke. With both teams possessing explosive superstars that can change the dynamic of a big game in a real hurry, this is just one of those matchups that fans tend to have circled on their calendars for a reason. Whether it's happening in Miami or a short road trip away in New Orleans, Heat-Pelicans matchups are sure to have something for everyone.

The Experience

When two amazing teams take to the court for a highly anticipated game, there are few sporting events that can hold a candle to the atmosphere that you'll experience in the crowd, as NBA games are routinely packed with passion and energy you can't find anywhere but the stands. Dating back all the way to the Ancient Greeks and Romans, people have been pouring in to see unbelievable spectator sports, and it doesn't get much better than seeing world-class ballers clash on the hardwood in front of tens of thousands of fans. Things have obviously changed a bit since the early days and there are plenty of options out there these days for sports fans, but it doesn't get any more exciting than basketball played at its highest possible level.

The Teams

If you don't know about the Heat, well, you probably should get out a little more. LeBron James has this team comparing with some of the all-time NBA great squads, with D. Wade, Chris Bosh and a deep team making it very difficult on their opponents from game to game and season to season.

But even though the Heat are obviously enjoying a great run at the top of the league right now, a team that you absolutely need to watch is New Orleans. With a young and very talented team anchored by Anthony Davis, Eric Gordon and Greivis Vasquez, this is a team that can light it up with anybody, making them a team on the rise in the west as they look to reenergize the New Orleans sports scene.

Team Trivia

Did you that the Pelicans were formerly the Hornets?

Even though the New Orleans had a very nice ring to it, the franchise name was handed back to Charlotte so that the city can once again call their team the Charlotte Hornets, effective as of the 2014-2015 season. And that leaves the New Orleans franchise to claim the name the Pelicans, making for a fresh new era that has fans thinking about seeing their team rise all the way to the top of the Western Conference standings much sooner than later.

The History

NBA ticketsto see the Hornets organization play basketball in Charlotte became available after the 1988 season, and quickly became some of the hottest tickets in town. The franchise moved to New Orleans in the wake of the 2002 season, and made the playoffs each of the first two seasons they were there. As the Hornets look to build their team for another playoff run, it's the perfect time to ditch the couch for the stands, where you'll actually be a part of the action in a way that you simply can't through your limited flatscreen.

There have been a number of great times to get NBA tickets featuring the Miami Heat, mostly notably with two recent NBA titles that have given their fans plenty of big thrills. With Shaquille O'Neal and Dwyane Wade leading the way, the Heat went to the Conference Finals in '05, and won an NBA title in 2006. Last year, they added another impressive chapter to their history, as LeBron James helped carry the team back to the top of the league in a great title run. Don't even think about being left out of the action this season as the Heat look to make it happen once again.

The Fans

The fans in New Orleans are known for being some of the most passionate sports fans that you'll find anywhere, but you're not going to really understand that sitting at home wondering what the atmosphere of the big game is like. Of course, over in South Beach, the Heat always play in front of an unbelievable crowd as well, making this a great matchup no matter where it goes down.
