Combining Black Sabbath members Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler with former members Ronnie James Dio and Vinny Appice, the group started touring together in the early ‘80s as Black Sabbath and then reunited in 2006 as Heaven and Hell, with a 2007-2008 tour. The group lived in the past and present, as they were named after the Sabbath’s first recoding with Dio but also started recording new material in the ‘00s.

Well then you should really learn to appreciate and love Heaven and Hell, the group that was formed by former Black Sabbath members who returned to the spotlight after a 15 year hiatus to create new additions to some of their oldest compilation sets. The Dio Years compilation appeared with three new tracks in the late ‘00s, and later so did a live album – as Heaven and Hell tickets were always selling quickly due to their energetic stage presence.
