At StubHub, you can sell tickets for a variety of events, including concerts, sporting events, theatrical productions, and more. We make it as easy as possible to sell your tickets. And listing them is free!
The first step in selling your tickets is to list them. There are a number of ways to list your tickets, depending upon your situation and the type of tickets you have.
In this section, we'll take you through all of the steps to list your tickets, whether you want to sell tickets for a single event, similar sets of tickets for the same event, tickets for multiple events in a category, or an entire season ticket package. Whichever listing method fits your situation, you'll have your tickets listed and ready to be purchased in no time!
Once you've listed your tickets, they'll be visible to millions of potential buyers. But a listed ticket is not out of your hands. The great news is that you can change your listings at any time - 24 hours a day. We provide the tools you need to monitor and adjust your listings, giving you the ability to actively manage your listings and increase the chance that your tickets sell.
You can choose to list your tickets using free Delivery Services (which includes free FedEx shipping or free eDelivery) or, for certain events, free Last Minute Services. To learn more, read about Selling With Last Minute Services.
When someone purchases your tickets, we'll send you an email to notify you of the sale. If you’ll be delivering the tickets by FedEx, we provide you with a pre-addressed, pre-paid FedEx shipping label. Simply print it out and ship your tickets to their new owner!
7 days after the buyer receives your tickets, we'll process your payment. We collect a 15% commission from each sale, which we automatically deduct prior to sending your payment.
To list tickets for an event:
- Click Sell at the top of the StubHub web page.
- Click the Free Delivery button to sell tickets using free shipping or eDelivery services. If you're interested in using free Last Minute Services, read about Listing Tickets with Last Minute Services.
- Click the Single Event button to list your tickets. If you have not yet created an account, you will be prompted to do so. For more information, read about Creating an Account.
- Proceed through the listing process, entering the appropriate information and taking extra care that you provide accurate and correct details for your tickets. For information on providing ticket details, read about Providing Ticket Details.
- Click Post These Tickets for Sale to save your listing.
You can also list tickets for an event using the categories in the left-hand column to find the event. Once you've found the event for which you have tickets, click the corresponding Sell link.
Note: If you have a Major League Baseball (MLB) team account, please log in to your team’s website and list your tickets from there.
If you have tickets to sell for several different home-team games this season, or you're a season ticket holder and you want to sell some or all of your tickets as separate listings, it's easy to list the tickets you can't use.
Note: If you have a Major League Baseball (MLB) team account, please log in to your team’s website and list your tickets from there.
If you want to list your entire season ticket package as a single listing, Click Here.
To list a portion of your season tickets or to list tickets for more than one event in the same category:
- Click Sell at the top of the StubHub web page.
- Click the Free Delivery button.
- Click the Multiple Events button. If you have not yet created an account, you will be prompted to do so. For more information, read about Creating an Account.
- Choose the location of the event from the Location drop-down menu.
- Choose the team or event from the Team drop-down menu.
- Proceed through the listing process, taking extra care to ensure that you enter the correct information for your tickets. For more information on providing ticket details, read about Providing Ticket Details.
- After you provide the ticket details, you will see a list of all the events in the category. Select the box next to each event for which you want to sell tickets. If you are selling all of your tickets for the entire season, click Select All Events. If you are only selling tickets to some of the events, select only those events for which you wish to sell tickets.
- Once you've selected the appropriate events, click the Continue button. A separate listing will be created for each event you selected.
- Choose your desired payment method.
- Enter the price and sale end date you want for each ticket. Unless you specify a different date, each ticket sale will automatically end 3 days prior to each event.
- Complete the remaining steps and click Post These Tickets for Sale to save your listing.
If you wish, you can list an entire season ticket package for sale. However, we'll need to help you set up your season ticket package as a single listing. Click here or give us a call at 1.866.STUBHUB (1.866.788.2482) for more information.
Note: When listing season tickets, enter the full price for which you want to sell the entire package. For example, if you have a season ticket package for a season that includes 8 events and you list the package at $500, you will receive a total of $500 if the package sells. The buyer, in turn, will be able to attend all 8 events for the $500 purchase price. If you want $500 per event, list the package at $4000.
Don't forget, when your tickets sell, we collect a 15% commission from each sale, which we deduct prior to sending your payment. Keep this commission in mind when deciding on a sale price for your tickets.
You can list tickets not currently in your possession as long as you are absolutely certain you will have the tickets and be able to deliver them in time for the event. This is often the case for NBA, MLB, and NFL ticket holders, for example, whose tickets may not be distributed until a few weeks before the start of the season.
As soon as your tickets sell, we’ll send you an order notification email. If you don’t have the tickets yet, but expect to receive them, follow the link in the email to log in to your account and confirm the order. When you confirm the order, you’ll give us the date you expect to receive the tickets and be able to deliver them.
Very Important: Do not use this feature unless you are absolutely certain you will receive the tickets within 2 weeks of the event.
For certain events in select markets, you may be able to list your tickets using free Last Minute Services. With Last Minute Services, your tickets can remain listed at StubHub right up to the start time of the event, allowing buyers to purchase them even at the last minute. All Last Minute Services requests must be pre-approved.
Listing tickets with Last Minute Services works much like any other listing. You set the price and, if your tickets sell, you will confirm your sale before we release the tickets. However, instead of shipping your tickets to the buyer, you’ll provide them in advance to the Last Minute Service Center handling last-minute sales for the event.
When selling with Last Minute Services, you are responsible for any shipping fees involved in getting your tickets to the office handling the ticket sale.
Although we want your tickets to sell, we can't guarantee that they will. As long as your tickets have not sold, you can decide to remove your listing and we'll coordinate a time before the event for you to pick up your tickets. Unsold tickets are routinely destroyed after the event is over, unless you request that we return them to you.
Last Minute Services for buyers and sellers in the StubHub marketplace are provided by Last Minute Transactions, Inc., a StubHub affiliate that owns and operates the Last Minute Service Centers.
For more information about Last Minute Services, read about Selling with Last Minute Services.
