        Hornet Stadium was built on the campus of CSUS in 1969, but underwent extensive renovations in 2000. Some of the former tenants of this college football stadium include the Sacramento Gold Miners of the Canadian Football League, and the Sacramento Surge of the World League of American Football.         Hornet Stadium has been known as a great venue for track and field, as well as football.
