Head to one of the many concerts this year
fronted by the Irish outfit Hothouse Flowers. The group first started out performing on the street as musicians and focused
on a blend of folk, Celtic and alternative rock. Since the mid-1980s they've been entertaining fans, they've just gotten a
lot more successful over the years.
Bono from U2 actually took notice of the little music
group and offered his support. Shortly afterward they signed with the Mother Records label and released their first single
called "Love Don't Work This Way. Their debut album called People hit the shelves in 1988.
Although they started out gaining followers in Ireland, they've now really expanded their fanbase around the world and
you can see them perform just about anywhere. Some of their singles include "Don't Go," "I'm Sorry," "I Can See Clearly Now"
and "Thing of Beauty." Tell your friends and enjoy one of their live gigs soon!
