The Houston Astros were founded in 1962, when they were known as the Houston Colt.45s. The organization quickly came up with a new theme in 1965 and renamed the team the Astros. The Astros spent most of their existence playing in the Astrodome, a stadium they called home from 1965 to 1999. The team now plays their home games at Minute Maid Park, where you can always count on thousands of fans at every single game as the Astros look to round into form and swing their way back into the postseason. Houston made their only World Series appearance in 2005 and their fans are hungry to see them get another crack at the title with a talented team filled with promising young players.

Houston Astros Trivia

Who holds the Astros record for most RBIs in a season?

The answer is Lance Berkman, the burly switch-hitter who had an amazing career while playing in Houston. In 2006, it really all came together for Berkman, as the man affectionately known as Big Puma smacked 45 homers and drove in a franchise-best 136 RBIs while hitting.315 for the season. Berkman would end up toppling 100 RBIs in six different seasons for the Astros, solidifying himself as one of the best hitters in the history of the franchise.
