The college football season is upon us and fans all over the country are dusting
off their jerseys in anticipation of their favorite team returning to the gridiron this fall. The offseason is long and now
that summer is waning, college football fans can almost taste it. The Howard University Bison are as excited as any team to
take the field, with optimism surrounding the squad heading into 2014. The Bison finished the 2013 season with a 6-6 record,
highlighted by big wins over Morehouse State in the Nation's Football Classic and Morgan State. The 2014 season comes with
many tests, but this year's squad looks up for the challenge.
Head Coach Gary Harrell returns to the sidelines for the
Bison in 2014 after a leave of absence last season and the fans and players could not be happier. Coach Harrell and the Bison
have a tough test in the second week of the season when they travel to Piscataway, New Jersey to take on the Rutgers Scarlet

The Howard Bison have been
playing football in our nation's capital since 1893, and the tradition is long and storied. The team plays their home games
at William H. Greene Stadium in Washington D.C. and competes in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference against such foes as Bethune-Cookman,
South Carolina State and Morgan State. The Howard Bison began playing football in 1893 and have a long history of winning
from their days in theCentral Intercollegiate Athletics Association before joining theMid-Eastern Athletic Conference in 1971.
