In the '50s, the issue of racial tension was bubbling up in America like never before. While civil rights activists were
being beaten in the streets, one jazz musician with a silky voice was on the country's record players, enchanting them with
his talent. I Wish You Love looks at the life of Nat King Cole and the contributions he made to the fight for civil rights.

Nat "King" Cole grew up in Chicago, and started hanging around the jazz nightclub scene when he was just a boy. It gave
him exposure to a whole world, like the work of Louis Armstrong and Earl Hines. It was only a matter of time before he began
performing on stage as well. He went on to lead a successful jazz career in the Los Angeles scene and a productive working
relationship with Capitol Records.
Cole died when he was only 45 years old, a victim of heavy smoking that led to lung cancer. But I Wish You Love brings
his music back on tour with a show that lets listeners learn what was so special about this 20th Century musician.
