Ice Works opened in October 1997 with two ice surfaces, a full service restaurant, full service pro-shop, and arcade and banquet/party rooms. The facility has held local school teams, in-house teams, the Delco Phantoms and the Philadelphia Little Flyers in its Aston, Pennsylvania home and is the only public rink to house a professional coaching staff, which includes former Philadelphia Flyers and coaches of Olympic skaters.
