The story of band Impending Doom started with Manny Contreras and Brook Reeves in 2005, along with Jon Alfaro, Isaac Bueno and Chris Forno. The band spent countless hours perfecting their sound before writing enough material to record their demo, The Sin and Doom of Godless Men. The band then produced the album Nailed, Dead, Risen under the Facedown Records label. This album climbed the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart to land at No. 46. Although some of the band's original members left to pursue other interests, they were able to continue making their music, and released their second album, The Serpent Servant in 2009. This album also hit No. 3 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart. Another album, Baptized in Filth, included the single For the Wicked.
