The Indiana Pacers in 2013-14
The Indiana Pacers are having themselves a fantastic regular season in 2013-14. After
reaching the Eastern Conference Finals last postseason, many fans expected to see the Pacers elevate their overall game in
2013-14. They have done just that, and have a real shot at securing the top seed in the Eastern Conference come season's end.
The Pacers have a well-rounded roster that includes a deep bench, making them a legitimate contender for the NBA Championship.
The team's biggest competition in the conference will come from the Miami Heat, a team that has won the last three Eastern
Conference titles. It was the Heat that bounced Indiana from the playoffs last season, and the Pacers have shown that they
mean business this time around. There is a good chance that these two clubs meet in the conference finals yet again, and that
would be a matchup for the ages.
One player that has greatly helped Indiana take its game to the next level is Paul
George. George had himself an incredible postseason in 2013, dominating on both ends of the court and showing that he was
ready to assume the role as the much-needed go-to player on this Pacers team. George has not disappointed in his follow-up
season to that playoff performance, as he has taken his game to new heights. George is now considered to be one of the best
players in the entire National Basketball Association and could be the key to defeating LeBron James and the Miami Heat this
time around. It should be an exhilarating playoff run for Indiana this season, one that could very well end with the Pacers
hoisting the championship trophy. Make sure to be a part of it by getting to a game.

Indiana Pacers Trivia
is the general manager of the Indiana Pacers franchise?
The answer is Kevin Pritchard, who made a name for himself as
an executive for the Portland Trail Blazers. Pritchard has helped put together a title contender in Indiana, though much credit
must be given to the incredible Larry Bird, who has succeeded as a player, coach and executive. There truly is nothing that
Larry Legend can't do.
Indiana Pacers Postseason History
The Indiana Pacers have been around since their
ABA days, which began in 1967. Since moving to the National Basketball Association in 1976 the Pacers have had some incredible
games and memorable seasons. The playoffs are always a goal for this organization, and lately the team has experience a lot
of success in reaching that goal. Over the course of their history, the Pacers have won eight division titles, three in the
ABA and five as a member of the NBA. The team was able to win three ABA Championships in a four-year period in the early 1970s,
but the team has failed to win an NBA title since joining the league. The Pacers were able to reach the NBA Finals back in
2000, but were defeated by the Los Angeles Lakers. Reggie Miller led that team and played very well in the playoffs, as he
often did, but Shaw and the Lakers proved to be too much for Indiana to handle. The Pacers had some legendary battles with
the New York Knicks over the years, with Miller doing a lot of damage at Madison Square Garden. The Pacers are looking to
add another playoff berth to their history this season.
