Indiana Pacers Schedule in 2014-15
The Indiana Pacers are ready to set the tone on the basketball court this season
as they take on some of the best teams in the National Basketball Association. The Pacers are coming off a fine 2013-14 season
in which they posted the best record in the Eastern Conference and reached the East Finals yet again. However, the team will
be looking to break through in 2014-15 and capture the conference crown, and the Eastern Conference has never been more wide
open that is in the wake of LeBron James departure from the Miami Heat. With the Big Three broken up down south, it's anybody's
title to win in the East, and the Pacers will be working hard all season to ensure that it's them that represent the conference
in the NBA Finals this postseason.
While James' departure from Miami opens things up in the East, it also puts King
James into the Pacers' division. James has rejoined the Cleveland Cavaliers, who happen to call the Central Division home.
That means James and company will be coming to Indianapolis multiple times this season, and the Pacers would love to send
them back to Ohio with some losses. Stopping James is never easy, but with a young supporting cast he seems more vulnerable
Another Central Division team that could pose a real threat to the Pacers is the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls
will have star player Derrick Rose back on a deep roster of talented players. Some may say the Bulls have the best team in
the conference, but the Pacers would love to prove them wrong by taking down the Bulls several times in 2014-15. Plenty of
other tough teams will take on the Pacers at home this season, and you can be there to see it all play out.
Pacers Team Info
The Indiana Pacers are coming off a very good 2013-14 season in which they reached the Eastern Conference
Finals for a second consecutive time. However, the team had its struggles down the stretch of the regular season and early
in the playoffs, as there seemed to be an internal struggle within the organization. Some people credited that to the personality
of Lance Stephenson, who is now gone from Indiana, signing with the Charlotte Hornets in the offseason. The Pacers may be
the favorite to win the Eastern Conference this season, as they've got all the tools to make it happen in 2014-15. The team
signed a solid replacement for Stephenson in shooting guard CJ Miles, who brings a nice offensive repertoire to the table
for Indiana. Miles could very well slide into the two-guard spot in the starting lineup and provide floor spacing that should
open things up for star player Paul George. George had the best year of his young career last season, and Pacers fans are
surely expecting further development from the Fresno State product in 2014-15. George won't have to do it alone, though, as
he has a solid supporting cast. Forward David West is one of the toughest and most reliable frontcourt players in the NBA,
and he certainly appears to be the backbone of the team with his leadership and passion for the game. Center Roy Hibbert could
not find consistency in the playoffs last season, but when his mind is right he's capable of being a dominant player on both
ends of the court. The Pacers will look for Hibbert to rebound from last year's struggles with a hot starter to 2014-15, which
would be a huge boost for this entire team. It should be a very good year in Indiana this season, but will it be great?
The atmosphere at an NBA game is simply electric, as fans watch with anticipation throughout the
entire contest. The National Basketball Association is the best basketball league in the world, and boasts players hailing
from all over the globe. Seeing these players hit the court in person makes watching them on TV pale in comparison, and that's
why you'll see the stands packed with fans at just about every NBA game throughout the season. Be a part of the excitement
when you head to a Pacers contest this season, and you're sure to have the time of your life. Being there in the stands to
see one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference is something that any hoops fan would enjoy, and all it takes is a few
clicks of your mouse to make it happen.
