        The Indy 500 goes back to 1911, when the first official race was held. Although the event has gone by different names, this is without question the premier event in the IRL tickets market, as the champion of every race becomes an instant legend. Legends such as A.J. Foyt, Mario Andretti and Rick Mears have taken the checkered flag here in the past, and every race is a week-long celebration of open-wheel racing.

        The Speedway is host to many other events, but no motorsports tickets compare to the tradition and fanfare of the Indy 500. The 94th Indianapolis 500 will be held in May and televised by ABC.
