The University of Akron is seeing demolition this year as their football stadium is being rebuilt just in time for the next football season. Set to open for the Indiana game in September, the press box tower will reach 120 feet. The demolition began in January of 2008 and removed residence halls and one parcel of land on Nash Street in order to create the new InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field complex. The new addition was $6.6 million and will be finalized this year.
