INTRUST Bank Arena History
In 2010 INTRUST Bank Arena opened and began hosting some of the biggest and best events
in the Wichita area. It became home of the Wichita Thunder of the CHL and is bursting at the seams on game day, providing
the Thunder with one of the best home ice advantages in the league. The venue hosts a variety of events and soon became one
of the most popular arenas in all of Kansas. The CHL named INTRUST Bank Arena the league's Best Arena as well as having the
Best Press Box in 2010.
INTRUST Bank Arena Events
In addition to being home of the Wichita Thunder, INTRUST
Bank Arena hosts plenty of other events including college basketball. Each year the arena hosts a few big home games for the
Wichita Stat Shockers as well as the Wichita Wildcat Challenge which features the Kansas State Wildcats taking on a top ranked
foe. The venue has also hosted professional bull riding events, NBA preseason basketball games for the Oklahoma City Thunder
as well as the Women's NCAA Basketball Tournament. Sports is not all that takes place at INTRUST Bank Arena, concerts by the
likes of Motley Crue and George Strait are held here as well as family events like Sesame Street Live, WWE events and comedy

Wichita is the biggest city in the state
of Kansas and is always loaded with entertainment options. The annual Wichita River Festival is one of the highlights of the

Aside from Allen Fieldhouse, INTRUST Bank Arena is the second largest indoor arena in all
of Kansas. Wichita bid the NCAA for INTRUST Bank Arena to host the first two rounds of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament
in 2011, 2012, or 2013 but was not chosen because the venue was not large enough and the NCAA decided there were not enough
nearby hotels to support fans and media who traveled to the event.
