Invasion Del Corrido tickets

Invasion Del Corrido tickets - Invasion Del Corrido Tour

Prepare for the Invasion

Showcasing the hottest in Latin American musical talent, the Invasion Del Corrido concert has been igniting the Southern California music scene for years. The show features acts who have built huge underground appeal, along with more established performers, such as Jenni Rivera and Gerardo Ortiz.

Invasion Del Corrido erupted onto the Nokia Theatre stage in early March, with a roster of talent that brings together the very best crooners, players and bands of the regional Mexican music scene. The lineup includes Larry Hernandez, Roberto Tapia, La Nueva Rebelion, Los Dareyes dela Sierra, Martin Castillo, Mario "El Cachorro" Delgado and Marissa Lopez. If you weren't able to catch the show, though, don't worry; it's televised on Estrella TV.

The talented groups are host to a whole lot of interesting facts. For example, Larry Hernandez recorded all of the tracks for his breakout album, 16 Narcos Corridos, in a single day. Roberto Tapia is one of three judges on La Voz Kids (The Voice Kids), the Spanish-American version of The Voice. Soloist Marissa Lopez is the younger sister of The X Factor host Mario Lopez. In addition to being the name of a sexy Latino breakout star, Martin Castillo is also the name of the character played by Edward James Olmos on the 1980s cult detective show Miami Vice.

The Lineup

Regional Mexican star Larry Hernandez smashed his way onto the Latino music landscape in 2009 with his hit album, 16 Narcos Corridos. His followup album, En Vivo Desde Culiacan, reached No. 2 on the Billboard Top Latin Album charts, entrenching Hernandez as a bona fide star. Roberto Tapia, whose 2012 album El Muchacho hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts, mixes Latin rhythms with splashes of hip-hop and electronica. Popular Norteno group Los Dareyes dela Sierra have been delighting crowds with their smooth vocals and energetic live shows since 1997. Led by vocalist/accordionist Jose Darey Castro, the band has released seven albums, along with a number of greatest hits compilations. Mexican singer/songwriter Mario "El Cachorro" Delgado gained huge popularity with his 2009 album, El Calador. The 2010 followup, El Ocho, cemented his success. The combination of such Latino powerhouses is why Invasion Del Corrido is the must-see and why Invasion Del Corrido tickets are disappearing fast.

By 2009, Robert Tapia had garnered mild success on the regional Mexican music scene. He had released two mildly successful albums and built himself a local following. The breakthrough came in 2009 with the release of El Nino de la Tuna, the first collaboration between Tapia and Fonovisa. Tapia infuses a mournful soul into many of the tracks, mixing in ballads, dance music and pop tunes. The stand-out single was the title track, which chronicled the life of drug lord Chapo Guzman. It became Tapia's first hit single and signaled his arrival as a Latino music heartthrob.

Hit Albums

Larry Hernandez's 16 Narcos Corridos was his ninth Latino music spotlight. The album features a gritty rendering of the Mexican drug culture. It peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums.

Show Experience

A unique aspect of Invasion Del Corrido is the opportunity it affords fans to get up close and personal with the performers. The concert experience evokes an atmosphere of intimacy and it is this, combined with the pure range of talent on display, that makes Invasion Del Corrido an unforgettable live music experience.
