Jackopierce burst into existence after a fast friendship was
formed between Texas rockers Jack O'Neill and Cary Pierce. The two were engaged in the local music scene around Dallas, Texas,
where both performers had matriculated into Southern Methodist University. The two's shared love for music was a sure recipe
for success, and as they began jamming and performing together, they took on the moniker Jackopierce, a combination of both
The duo would immediately skyrocket to mainstream national success, hitting the road extensively as they
toured over the course of a decade with the biggest names in alternative and southern rock. From the Dave Matthews Band and
Counting Crows to Semisonic and Sheryl Crow, Jackopierce was tearing up the national tour scene as they brought their unique
sound and amazing chemistry to stages all across the United States. Having been picked up by A&M records, the band spent
any time not on the road in the recording studio, putting out a string of commercially successful albums that sold into the
hundreds of thousands.
Despite critical and financial success, the Jack and Cary decided to move take their music in
two separate directions, and the band released a blow out album and embarked on one last nationwide farewell tour. With their
final show ending on the final day of 1997, Jackopierce was officially broken up as each band member went on to pave their
own path in the musical wilderness.
During their breakup, Jack would make the move from the sunny south to cold hard
New York as he joined up with the Bat Theater Company, where he would perform as a musician and embark on a successful solo
career. He released an EP and a full length, a departure from the sound of Jackopierce and a mark of Jack's maturation as
a musician. Cary would continue to hit the tour circuit around the United States, and was a prolific writer with four full
lengths put out in the period between 1997 and 2002.
Unable to be kept apart for long, Jackopierce reunited in 2002
alongside cheers from the alt rock music scene, and immediately embarked on a sold out Texas wide tour that cemented Jackopierce
as a decade spanning, multi generational alt rock phenomenon. Today, the guys are putting out a constant stream of hit albums
while constantly hitting the road for special tours and events all across North America.
have put out decades worth of hit musical material, from their rawest works off their debut self titled Jackopierce in 1990
to the refined and matured sounds of 2012's Everywhere All The Time. Amongst the band's extensive discography are a slew of
hit singles, including 1994's triple threat releases of "Anderson's Luck", "Live", and "Get to Know Me Better". The band's
middle period work is an impressive middle ground between old and new, with the singles "Late Shift", "Trials", and "Vineyard"
presenting maturation and framing the direction of Jackopierce's future sound. However, it's their post reunion hit single
"Summer's gone" that typifies the modern Jackopierce sound, a brave adventure that stands between current alt rock trends
and good ol' Texas sensibilities.
The band pioneered a new, Jackopierce exclusive type of music
event, offering concerts of a lifetime for limited audiences across the world. The goal of these concerts was to blend local
culture and hotspots with the Jackopierce atmosphere, creating a unique experience at each and every locale that the band
