2014 Jacksonville Jaguars Road Schedule
Looking to build upon an up-and-down 2013 season, a new season brings all
kinds of new possibilities as the Jags hope to gather some momentum and keep the franchise going in the right direction. The
Jags certainly have the talent level on both sides of the ball to be a factor in the AFC South, a division that tends to be
one of the most exciting in the league from one season to the next. Though home games at EverBank Field are all the rage around
Jacksonville for a reason, seeing the Jags on the road sooner or later is simply something you need to experience if you consider
yourself a true fan.
One of the biggest challenges, of course, will be when the Jags will take to the road and head
to Indianapolis, IN to play the Indianapolis Colts this season. The Colts won the AFC South in 2013, and are looking to do
so yet again in 2014 with Andrew Luck's future looking very bright, though the Jags would love to deliver them a tough loss
when they meet in Indy on Nov. 23. Other exciting divisional road matchups will include a trip to Nashville to take on the
Titans on Oct. 12 and the Texans on Dec. 28 to wrap up the regular season.
But even though the divisional matchups are
sure to draw quite a crowd, you don't want to forget about the other road matchups either. The Jags will start on the road
against the Eagles on Sept. 7 and the Redskins on Sept. 14 – two games that are sure to have plenty of Jags' gear in
the stands. A trip to Cincinnati on Nov. 2 is another game that fans will definitely have circled on their calendars, as the
Jags will be looking to take a win from the defending champs of the NFC North. All in all, it's another intense season of
football that will have you at the edge of your seat, as this is a team that you'll want to keep an eye on.
Jaguars Team Info
The Jacksonville Jaguars are looking to take a step forward this season after an occasionally tough
2013 campaign. Though the Jags had a rough losing streak, they also turned it around had some nice bright spots as well, giving
the team some pieces to build around in the process. The Jags in particular started to show some signs on defense late in
the season, helping them win four out of five games at one point in the season. With Chad Henne looking to give the Jags the
stability they need to get off to a good start this season, the Jags have a lot to prove and they have the playmaking pieces
to make 2014 a season filled with exciting clashes that you'll want to be a part of.
NFL Road Experience
are few sporting events that can hold a candle to the atmosphere that you'll experience in the crowd when two National Football
League teams take the field, as NFL games are routinely packed with passion and energy you can't find anywhere but the stands.
The NFL is one of the top sports leagues in the world, boasting some of the most impressive athletes you're ever going to
come across. The Jags will be hitting the field in eight stadiums other than their own this regular season, and each contest
provides Jacksonville football fans with the chance to see how their favorite team holds up under the pressure that comes
along with playing away from home against a quality NFL team. Once you're there in the middle of an epic clash on the road,
you'll be mesmerized by the excitement and you'll understand that there is simply no duplicating the experience anywhere else.
Jacksonville Jaguars History
The Jacksonville Jaguars have been a part of the National Football League since
1995, when they and the Carolina Panthers entered the league as expansion franchises. Since then, the Jags have put up some
great seasons for fans to remember, and the fans have supported this tam unflinchingly since the organization's inception.
The Jags were able to win two division titles in the late-1990s back when they were a part of the AFC Central division, with
Mark Brunell and Jimmy Smith leading the way to what has so far been the peak of the franchise. But with the organization
building a nice core of talent and looking to take their game to another level, there are plenty of reasons to be excited
Jacksonville Jaguars Trivia
Did you know that Jimmy Smith tallied 1,000 yards receiving
or more nine out of 10 seasons during his brilliant career?
Jimmy Smith is simply one of the most underrated players
on his era, as the dominant Jags' wideout consistently diced up secondaries and gave the Jags a receiving threat every year.
Smith ended up peaking in 1999, when he pulled down 116 passes and 1,636 yards for the season. But he was far from done, as
he even broke 1,000 yards in his last season of his career in 2005.
