James Madison Dukes Basketball Road Schedule in 2014-15

The James Madison Dukes are looking to take down each and every team that dares step onto their home court this season, and it's going to take some great play against some of the top teams in the conference to get the job done. The Dukes are coming off a tough 2013-14 season in which they struggled both in and out of conference play. The team is hoping to perform at a higher level in 2014-15, and some big wins on the road would go a long way.

The Dukes will have to visit the Towson Tigers this season for a matchup that is sure to be a difficult one for James Madison. The Dukes have some talented players that will have to try to match the talents of the Tigers, which won't be easy. The Tigers earned 13 conference wins last season, so they're used to dominating their Colonial Athletic Association competition. The Dukes will be looking to change that this season.

James Madison will also be heading out to take on the William & Mark Tribe this season. These two programs have had some epic battles over the years, and this contest should be another chapter in that great story. The Dukes would love to leave the William & Mary campus with a huge victory over this conference rival. This is just one of the great matchups on their road schedule this season, so check out the schedule and see which games you'd like to attend.

James Madison Dukes Basketball History

The James Madison Dukes basketball program was founded back in 1945, and they've been competing at the highest level ever since. The Dukes have been able to make it to the NCAA Tournament on a multitude of occasions, despite their not playing in a major conference. The Dukes currently play in the Colonial Athletic Association, a league that is quite competitive on an annual basis. The Dukes reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 1981, a historic year for the basketball program. When the team beat Georgetown in the first round that season it was a huge accomplishment for the Dukes. The Dukes would follow up that season with two consecutive appearances in the Big Dance, and both years the team was able to win their first-round matchup. The Dukes returned to the tourney in 1994 and barely lost out to the Florida Gators, falling by a mere two points. The team reached the tournament yet again in 2013 as a part of the First Four. In the First Four Round they defeated Long Island on their way to a first-round matchup with the top-seeded Indiana Hoosiers. While the Hoosiers proved to be too much for the Dukes to handle in that game, it was another strong season in James Madison hoops history.

Fan Experience

Seeing a college hoops game in person is always an exciting experience, especially when you can catch your favorite team on the road. When the Dukes pull ahead late in the game it will leave a hush over the crowd that will sound like music to your ears. These players are incredible athletes, and seeing them play from the stands will give you a new respect for what they are capable of. Make sure to check out a road game this season to see the Dukes do battle with a quality opponent this season.
