About the Artist
James Vincent McMorrow
is not the typical international pop star who had been striving from his early youth to attain commercial success. Hailing
from Dublin he did not even begin attempting to play the guitar until he was well into his teens. Eventually the interest
grew and he began composing songs on the guitar and writing lyrics. In 2008 he released his first EP, The Sparrow and the
Wolf, which began drawing some attention in his hometown and local audiences at his shows began to grow. In 2010 he released
his debut full length, Early in the Morning, and from there people began to really take notice. The album was so popular that
it eventually was released in Europe and the United States the following year. Everywhere Early in the Morning was released
it received critical acclaim and proved to be a big seller. He was well on his way to becoming one of the biggest musical
superstars to come out of Ireland in recent years. IN January of 2014 his second full length, Post Tropical, was released
in Ireland, Europe, and the United States and James Vincent McMorrow embarked on a world tour in support.
a few years of toiling away playing at local venues in Dublin and promoting his debut EP, James Vincent McMorrow headed into
the studio to record his full length debut. The album would be called Early in the Morning and in 2010 would earn McMorrow
a reputation as one of Ireland's finest young singer-songwriters. The album was a huge hit locally and eventually was released
in Europe and the United States where it was well received. He was invited to appear on the show Later... with Jules Holland
in 2011 because of the album's popularity, marking his UK television debut. After proving his appeal both at home and abroad,
James Vincent McMorrow was able to see his follow up album, Post Tropical, receive international release immediately as well
as new found support from big record labels which would allow him to promote the album through a world tour playing all of
the biggest cities and venues.
