Jane's Addiction emerged from the ashes of Psi Com, Perry Farrell's previous band. After meeting
Eric Avery, Farrell knew that he could refurbish Psi Com into a whole new type of band—one that had a chance at international
stardom. So along with Avery, Farrell started recruiting various rockers to join the band, pegging the band's origins back
to 1985. With a complete lineup and a growing repertoire of awesome rock songs, Jane's Addiction hit the Los Angeles rock
scene hard, playing regularly at the various music venues around the city. Before they knew it, Jane's Addiction had become
a dominant force in the LA rock scene, and they had accrued a devoted local following. Eventually, word spread around record
labels about this up-and-coming rock outfit, and Warner Bros. Records was quick to swoop up Jane's Addiction before any other
label could snag them.
In 1988, Jane's Addiction recorded its first studio album, Nothing's Shocking, which sold fairly
well for a debut album. Following the release of the album, Jane's Addiction went on tour with The Ramones and Iggy Pop, and
not long afterward they were headlining major tours of their own! In 1991, Farrell and Marc Geiger organized the first ever
Lollapallooza festival, which toured around the country with major bands. The festival was intended to act as a farewell tour
for Jane's Addiction, as Farrell thought that the band had run its course. After the end of the tour, which showcased musical
acts like Nine Inch Nails, Living Colour, and The Violent Femmes, Jane's Addiction announced its breakup, and rock fans around
the world were devastated.
That wasn't the end of Jane's Addiction, however, and in 1997 the band reunited for a brief
tour, and a few years later they decided to reunite for more tours and for more studio sessions. They even created the theme
song for the hit HBO show "Entourage", and for a while, it seemed as if Jane's Addiction was back to stay. However, by 2004,
the band had gone on yet another hiatus. Since 2008, Jane's Addiction has been a fairly consistent band on the music scene,
performing shows all over the world and even cranking out awesome new rock tunes. While Jane's Addiction is infamously plagued
with discord amongst its members, the band is now back with a stronger lineup than ever before. You can catch Jane's Addiction
rocking out on stage at one of their upcoming shows, and all you have to do is check out StubHub! Thanks to StubHub, you can
lock down your Jane's Addiction tickets in a couple of minutes!
Jane's Addiction has released
four studio albums, two live albums, four compilation albums, and 17 singles over the course of their jumbled and fragmented
history. Their most successful album to date remains Ritual de lo habitual (1990), which has been certified twice platinum
in the US. Some of the band's most popular songs include hits like "Jane Says", "Mountain Song", "Ocean Size", "Stop!", "Been
Caught Stealing", "Three Days", "Ripple", "Just Because", "Irresistible Force", and "Classic Girl".
Throughout the decades,
Jane's Addiction has churned out some of the biggest alternative rock hits around, and they remain one of the most popular
rock bands of all time, despite their frequent hiatuses. If there is one thing that diehard Jane's Addiction fans have learned
over the years, it's that you need to take advantage of a Jane's Addiction reunion while you can, because you don't necessarily

In Jane's Addiction's song "Ted, Just Admit It", the band sampled the voice of Ted Bundy,
