Jann Arden Background
Canadian-born Jann Arden catapulted to stardom in 1993 with her first album, Time For Mercy.
It highlighted the track, "I Would Die For You." A year later, her album, Living Under June, proved to be her breakthrough
album, featuring "Insensitive." The single further cemented her status as a credible, talented artist on the music scene.
The song was issued as a single from the Bed of Roses soundtrack. "Could I Be Your Girl" was an additional track off that
album that found its way to the airwaves in Canada, which also included a dance remix rendition that spun its way to pop radio
as well. Happy? (1997), Blood Red Cherry (2000) and Love Is the Only Soldier (2003), among many others, followed.
singer/songwriter Arden also adds "author" to her resume. Arden has penned the books, Falling Backwards; If I Knew, Don't
You Think I'd Tell You; and I'll Tell You One Damn thing, That's All I Know. Arden also served as an advice columnist for
Elle Canada, and is a much sought-after motivational/public speaker.
It seems Jann Arden is capable of doing anything
she sets her mind to. In 2010, she took on hosting duties for Being Jann on CBC Radio and a year later, Arden became a judge
for Canada Sings. She continued her hosting duties with The Social. Arden has also served as the producer for two documentaries
and was the narrator of ER Vets.
