About The Artist
Born in 1948 Rhode Island, Jeffrey Osborne grew up in a musical family,
as his father was a famous trumpeter who played with the likes of Duke Ellington and Lionel Hampton, while he also started
the band L.T.D. with his brother Billy. The band became a huge success with singles such as "(Every Time I Turn Around) Back
In Love Again", "Love Ballad", "Concentrate On You", and many more. So while the group was a success, Jeffrey moved on in
1980 to work on his solo career, which was a smart move as he went on to earn himself a myriad of awards such as platinum
and gold albums. Starting with the self-titled release in 1982, Jeffrey Osborne released albums such as "Stay With Me Tonight",
"Don't Stop", "Emotional", and more with the most recent being 2013's "A Time To Love".
musician like none other, it wouldn't take long for Jeffrey Osborne to find his place in the music world with the group L.T.D.,
as the group churned out singles like nobody's business for years on end. So while Jeffrey Osborne was a pivotal part of why
L.T.D. was so successful, he took his music to another level with the start of his solo career in 1980. And so it was in 1982
and with the release of his debut self-titled solo album that Jeffrey once again was thrown into the spotlight and enjoyed
success all over again. The albums was a hit with singles such as "On The Wings of Love" and "I really Don't Need No Light"
along with many more, but these were just the tip of the iceberg. Although Jeffrey would follow this up with an incredible
album the very next year that would eventually go platinum, it was his debut solo album that showcased his skills yet again
and shot him back into the charts all over again.
