Jersey Boys Knoxville
Jersey Boys has become one of the most critically acclaimed musicals around. The Four Seasons'
Bob Gaudio and producer Bob Crewe were inspired by other successful musicals like Mamma Mia! and Buddy – The Buddy Holly
Story. Using a similar narrative format, they decided to embark on a musical project that explored the meteoric rise of Frankie
Valli and the Four Seasons' career. With writers Rick Elice and Marshall Brickman, and director Des McAnuff, they created
a spectacular, jukebox style musical that brilliantly illustrated the rags-to-riches story of one of the best-selling pop
groups of all time.
After Jersey Boys debuted, audiences and critics fell in love with Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons'
story. With each of the band members' unique perspectives portrayed in the show, fans got to see another side to the story
of their favorite band. Starting with their humble beginnings as blue collar workers, this documentary style musical shows
how this amazing group shot to fame and ended up selling over 175 million records worldwide before they were even 30 years
old. From your favorite hits like "Sherry" and "December 1963 (Oh, What A Night)," this musical includes 33 songs, including
five chart-topping hits, and 11 that made it to the Billboard's top ten.
In addition to its classic hit songs, Jersey
Boys also features the stunning choreography of famed choreographer, Sergio Trujilo, whose prior work has appeared inMemphis,
Romeo and Juliet, Figaro, The Sound of Music, Hands on a Hardbody, and the television show,So You Think You Can Dance: Canada.
