About Jessie J

Hailing from the heart of London, Jessica Ellen Cornish would spend her early years attending performing arts schools and participating in various theatre projects, including a rendition of Whistle Down the Wind. She would soon be invited to join the in the prestigious National Youth Music Theatre program, and soon was regularly performing in musicals and plays across the United Kingdom. Before her eighteenth birthday she was making waves across the British music scene, winning the best pop singer title on the popular television series Britain's Brilliant Prodigies.

In almost no time at all Jessie would receive her first recording deal, signing a Sony ATV publishing contract. She would soon be on the road promoting her forthcoming albums alongside Cyndi Lauper on the Bring Ya to the Brink tour, and on top of her recording and performing obligations Jessie would find time to write a slew of hit singles, including the Miley Cyrus mega hit "Party in the U.S.A.". Jessie J hit critical mass as multiple labels began bidding for her to sign up with them, and she soon signed on to major label Lava Records.

Her debut would finally drop in 2011, immediately pushing Jessie into the media limelight. Her debut would contain multiple hit singles, and her work being featured on the soundtrack to the hit comedy Easy A, and performances on the iconic skit show Saturday Night Live and at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. Jessie would soon be recording and collaborating with the biggest artists all across the music spectrum, including David Guetta, Tinie Tempah, and Queen. Today, Jessie J is still rising meteorically to the top of the pop R&B hierarchy, constantly recording and performing exciting new music. Most recently, Jessie J was featured alongside Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj on the hit single "Bang Bang". With her most recent release dropping late last year, Jessie J is showing no signs of losing momentum as she cements herself as one of the greatest pop performers of her generation.

Previous Hits

The Jessie J phenomenon would become official in 2011, with her release of her debut Who Are You. The album would light up the charts all across North America and Europe, including #11 on the Billboard 200, #2 in the UK, and top ten appearances in Australia, Canada, Denmark, Ireland, and New Zealand. Under the tutelage of a pell mell of visionary producers, including The Invisible Man, Dr. Luke, David Guetta, and Toby Gad, the album spawned an unbelievable seven hit singles, including "Do It Like a Dude", "Domino", "Who You Are", and "Nobody's Perfect". The album has become a foundational piece of Jessie J's success and remains her biggest triumph to date.

The emotional track "Big White Room" is based on a real life experience when Jessie was in a hospital. It's about a small boy who shared a place in her hospital ward who passed away.
