About the Band
Jesus Culture Band developed out of the Christian outreach program
Jesus Culture which had the goal of appealing to youth internationally and was started at Bethel Church in Redding, California.
Banning Liebscher, a youth pastor at the church organized a conference to help share the Word of God to young people and held
the first conference in the fall of 1999. The conference was a huge success and before long Jesus Culture began holding conferences
around the country including stops in Dallas, Cleveland, Las Vegas, and Atlanta. There were even international conferences
held in the United Kingdom and Australia. Following the success of the conferences a music label, Jesus Culture Music, was
formed as an effort to put out the music of the Jesus Culture Band who record original songs as well as classic hymns. The
band released their first album in 2006 and has since released seven studio albums: Everything, We Cry Out, Your Love Never
Fails, Consumed, Here Is Love, Come Away, and 2012's Emergency Voices. Additionally Jesus Culture band released the 2010 EP,
My Passion, and two live albums: Awakening (Live from Chicago), and Live from New York. they have become wildly popular in
the Christian rock world and continue to record and tour internationally.
What began as a
youth conference looking to inspire young Christians to spread the Word and to live as Jesus would, quickly grew to become
an international sensation with millions of followers all being inspired to live a CHristian life and help others come to
accept the love of God. In 2006 Kim Walker-Smith, Chris Quilala, Jeffrey Kunde, Brandon Aaronson, Ian McIntosh and Josh Fisher
got together to form Jesus Culture Band and their first album, Everything, was released on the missionary's label Jesus Culture
Music. The album was wildly successful and inspired the Jesus Culture Band to release a new album each year so they would
have one to sell when they perform at the Jesus Culture conferences. Each year they gain more and more fans and their new
songs as well as their live performances continue to get better and better each year.
you are seeing Jesus Culture Band at one of their concerts or at the Jesus Culture conference you are sure to be in for a
treat. Just being in the same concert hall as so many other people strong in their faith is an experience in and of itself
and the energy is exhilarating. It is one of the most powerful religious experiences one can be a part of outside of church
and as the band takes the stage and begins to play their mix of original and cover songs the feeling only grows. Experiencing
a group like Jesus Culture Band in concert is a great way to remind yourself of what is really important. This collective
has been singing about Jesus and how much their walk with God means to them for over nearly a decade. If you are looking to
share a memorable night with some of your fellow CHristians or if you feel like you need to be reassured in your faith you
there is nothing better to do than attend a Jesus Culture Band concert.
After beginning at Bethel
Church in Redding, California Jesus Culture announced in 2013 that they would be building a church in Sacramento with plans
to move there sometime in 2014.
