JGB is the continuation of the Jerry Garcia Band, which dissolved in name upon Garcia's death in 1995. As lead singer and guitarist for the Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia brought the band's fans to his own side outfit the Jerry Garcia Band, which has been passed onto Melvin Seals and is known as JGB. JGB continues to pump out hit music, and the outfit is also the ultimate jam band to see live.
