About The Artist
in 1972 Pennsylvania, Jill Scott grew up with her mother and grandmother with the plan that she would become a high school
English teacher, although she would eventually find that that line of work wasn't for her. It was in 2000 that Jill began

The result was "You Got Me", a song that won Erykah Badu and The Roots a Grammy for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group.
From there she released her debut album "Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1" to great success that very same year.

Sounds Vol. 3" and "The Light of the Sun".
