Job for a Cowboy was founded in Glendale, Arizona in December 2003 by vocalist Jonny Davy, guitarists Ravi Bahadriraju and Andrew Arcurio, bassist Chad Staples and drummer Andy Rysdam when they were still teenagers. In 2004, the forward-thinking youth created a MySpace profile, and posted some of their songs. They immediately received attention for their music and connected with fans across the world. Traffic to their MySpace profile grew exponentially over the next year, and in 2005, the band released their first EP, Doom, that attracted the attention of King of the Monsters, an independent Arizona label. They began promoting their EP through their Sounds of the Underground tour, and by the end of the year they had attained professional management from Metal Blade Records. They released their first album Genesis, which peaked at No. 54 on the Billboard 200, and sold nearly 13,000 copies in its first week. They released the second album Ruination in May of 2009 to rock hungry fans anticipating its release. The album sold more than 10,000 copies and made it to No. 42 on the Billboard 200 chart during its first week. With so much success with their first two albums, the band began working on their third album, honing their skills and perfecting their sound. Their third album Gloom dropped in June of 2011. But unlike their previous albums, this EP was only available through mail order or digital download. It was a shift in the way Job for a Cowboy brought their music to the masses. Now, the band has returned with another album that is their strongest line up to date. Domonocracy is a nine-track album full of seething aggression and potent disgust.
