Johnny Hallyday tickets - Johnny Hallyday Tour

Tour/Concert Schedule

Concert tickets are now available at StubHub for an upcoming show featuring the one and only Johnny Hallyday. This French singer and actor has been making waves in both industries ever since he got his start back in 1959. See what all of the excitement is about when he heads to a city near you! He has remained one of the most popular stars in France and has been steadily gaining a following worldwide.

He has been called the French Elvis Presley, and when you come out to one of Johnny Hallyday's shows, you will find out why. He can twist and shout with the best of them and he can still entertain a crowd like he did when he first burst onto the music scene in the 1950s. He first became interested in music as a child, and was raised by his musically-inclined aunt and her dance partner Lee Hallyday. The future music star had an affinity for rock and roll music and began singing when he was still a teenager, and released his debut single, "Laisse les filles," in 1960. He went onto to complete more than 180 tours, had 18 platinum albums and has sold millions of records worldwide. Now, you, too can see this amazing artist in person.

Johnny Hallyday is currently on tour and will be making stops in cities all over the country, including the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, the Danforth Music Hall Theatre in Toronto, the Beacon Theatre in New York and many other prestigious and historic venues across the US. Don't miss your chance to see this one-of-a-kind artist create musical magic once more.

Hallyday's given name was Jean-Phillipe Smet in 1943. While he was largely popular in his how country of France, he wanted to have wider appeal than just French-speaking audiences. Because of that he chose a name that would be universally accepted. Johnny is a version of his first name and Hallyday came from his aunt's dance partner, Lee Hallyday, who was also his first manager and helped him get his career off and going.

About the Artist

Johnny Hallyday has expanded his reach beyond Europe and now people in America are taking notice of this French singer and actor. He performs good ole rock n roll tunes and will certainly keep you out of your seat throughout the show! Invite your friends for a good time!

Hallyday was born to a Belgian father and French mother in 1943. Although he retained the Belgian last name of his father, he did not spend much time with either parent. He spent much of his childhood and youth in the care of his aunt Desta and her dance partner Lee Hallyday. The two encouraged Hallyday's love and talent for music, and by time he was 17, he was already releasing his first single. "Laisse les filles" were released on the Vogue label in 1960, and introduced the world to this rock and roll-singing Frenchman who could twist and shout like another music star of the time—Elvis Presley. He found initial success with his cover of "Let's Twist Again." It sold more than a million copies and earned a gold disc. It topped the charts in several European countries and earned the singer a chance to perform on The Ed Sullivan Show. The appearance led to collaborations with American singing sensation Connie Francis and Jimi Hendrix.

Hallyday continued to have success throughout the next few decades, gaining fans both in his native country, Europe and the US. And while Hallyday "retired" several times, it seems the legendary singer couldn't stay away from the stage. He has returned to his music several times, touring and writing new music for his adoring fans. Now, you too can see this one-of-a-kind musician back in action. Don't miss out!
