About Jonny Lang
Rock singer and guitarist Jonny Lang got his start
in music at a young age, taking up the guitar at just 12 years old. He spent his formative years playing guitar for friends
and family, and after seeing a concert by the Bad Medicine Blues Band, he began taking guitar lessons from the band's guitarist,
Ted Larsen. Shortly after, Jonny Lang actually joined the band, and it was renamed Kid Jonny Lang & The Big Bang. After
playing together as Kid Jonny & The Big Bang, the band released their album "Smokin'" when Jonny Lang was only 14 years
old. By 1996, Jonny Lang was signed to A&M Records, and released his album "Lie to Me," that following year. The album
went multi-platinum, and Lang went on to release his follow-up record "Wander This World," which earned him his first Grammy
After the successful release of his first two albums, Jonny Lang returned to the studio to begin working
on his next album, "Long Time Coming," which was released in 2003. "Long Time Coming" featured a noticeably more R&B sound
fused with elements of blues. The album included tracks like "Touch," "Give Me Up Again," and "Beautiful One." With the release
of Jonny Lang's next album, "Turn Around," he had won his first Grammy Award for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album.
