The Joseph G. Echols is a 7,000 multi-purpose arena located in Norfolk, Virginia and is home to the Norfolk State University Spartans basketball team. The Norfolk State University has been a NCAA Division I since 2005, part of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). The men’s basketball team finished their 2007-2008 season with the program’s first overall winning record since the late ‘90s, at 16-15.
