With their flashy fashion sense, pounding beats and catchy vocals, Justice has become a huge act in their native France. Now, the dance duo is headed to America! Though they've received endless comparisons to another French dance act, Daft Punk, Justice has its own unique sound that's very distinct from the better known discotheque princes. Not shy about mixing pop with heavy industrial dance beats, squalling electronic noise and everything else under the sun, concert tickets get you into an eclectic experience.
Gaspard Auge and Xavier de Rosnay formed Justice in Paris in the early 00s, and quickly earned the attention of dance fans after writing a song around the vocals of Simian's "Never Be Alone." It turned into a hit, earning them the opportunity to remix a number of more mainstream bands, including Britney Spears, N.E.R.D. and Franz Ferdinand. Their mix of catchy electronic pop and squalling beats was released on their debut, Cross, in 2007.
With songs like "DVNO" and their ode to Michael Jackson, "D.A.N.C.E.," Justice's profile has raised in the states. Anyone interested in danceable indie rock will find plenty to like in this electronic band's music.
