Kansas City Chiefs Road Games

Kansas City Chiefs Road Games tickets

2014 Kansas City Chiefs Road Schedule

With a talented team looking to get right back to the playoffs, the Chiefs have one of those rosters that has been turning heads around the league. Come out and see one of the most complete teams in the National Football League as they look to take their game to the next level and contend for a title, making for a season's worth of big-time thrills that will have fans clinging to the edges of their seats. Home games at Arrowhead are obviously filled with great fans, making it one of the best venues in the country for football, but part of the fun of a season is to head out and follow your team to a highly anticipated road game. When you're there in the stands watching the action first-hand, you'll definitely see loud and clear what all of the excitement is about surrounding the Chiefs.

The biggest threat to the Chiefs' division title hopes, of course, is probably the Denver Broncos, who won the AFC Championship last season and reached the Super Bowl thanks to Peyton Manning's record-breaking passing season. A Sept. 14 game in Denver is sure to have plenty of Chiefs' fans in attendance, as will the big Chargers' matchup in San Diego on Oct. 19 and a Thursday, Nov. 20 game in Oakland against the Raiders.

Outside of the division, there are even more exciting road matchups that might be the perfect centerpiece for a road trip. A Sept. 21 game against the rising Dolphins is an intriguing matchup, as is a Dec. 7 game in Glendale against the Arizona Cardinals and a Dec. 21 game in Pittsburgh against the Steelers. With all types of different opportunities, the place to be this season is in the stands as the Chiefs hope to hit the ground running on their way to another playoff berth.

Kansas City Chiefs Team Info

The Kansas City Chiefs had fine season in 2013, and they rattled off a staggering nine straight wins to start off the season and ended up making the playoffs in the AFC. Running back Jamaal Charles was as electric as ever in 2013, reminding everyone that he's fully recovered and one of the most dynamic playmakers in the entire league. The Chiefs also found a quarterback in veteran Alex Smith, who has lent a stability to this offense that is has lacked just that for several years before last season. Smith seems to be thriving in new head coach Andy Reid's offensive system, which has gone a long way in helping this team to some big victories this season. Add in a very talented defensive squad that is known to dominate an offense or two and you have a team that is definitely worth keeping an eye on this season.

NFL Road Experience

When it comes to attending a National Football League game in person, there is no experience like it. The athletes on the field during an NFL game are some of the most impressive in the world, and it takes being there in the stands to truly appreciate their abilities. The Chiefs will play on the road eight times this regular season, taking on some of the top teams in the AFC and beyond, and you can be there to see how they hold up under the pressure of playing on the road. Make sure to join the most loyal of fans at a Chiefs road game this season and you'll end up with a completely different type of experience that will have you kicking yourself for not seeing them away from home a whole lot sooner.

Kansas City Chiefs History

The Kansas City Chiefs franchise was founded in 1960 as the Dallas Texans before becoming the Kansas City Chiefs two years later and becoming a major part of the Kansas City sports scene. Owner Lamar Hunt was an integral part in establishing the American Football League, which would go on to merge with the National Football League to form much of the NFL as we know it today. The Chiefs have one Super Bowl victory to date, the win coming in Super Bowl IV. They have also made it to the postseason more than 15 times and seem to be building a team that has some serious staying power, bringing fans into an exciting new era as they look to make a run at a title much sooner than later.

Kansas City Chiefs Trivia

Did you know that Derrick Thomas tallied 20 sacks in just his second season?

After showing some major signs in his 1989 rookie season, Thomas elevated his game in a very big way in his sophomore effort, tallying a ridiculous 20 sacks despite missing a game. Thomas would end up with at least 10 sacks seven different times in his brilliant career, solidifying him as one of the very best pass-rushers in the history of the game.
