Kansas City Chiefs Schedule

Kansas City Chiefs Schedule - Chiefs Schedule

Kansas City Chiefs Schedule in 2014

The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to put up a banner season in 2014, and to do that they're going to have to win some big games. The Chiefs have a big test early this season when they head to Denver to take on the Broncos. The Broncos won the AFC West and represented the conference in the Super Bowl last season, and they have one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game in Peyton Manning. The Chiefs could grab some early momentum in 2014 by taking down the Broncos in Denver.

September 29th will bring another tough contest when the Chiefs host the New England Patriots. The Pats are always one of the best teams in the AFC, and a big reason for that is quarterback Tom Brady. The Chiefs will look to slow down Brady and company, but it won't be easy. This game should see tons of fans in the stands to see two top teams get it on.

On October 5th the Chiefs will head west to take on the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners have been to three consecutive NFC Championship Games and even made the Super Bowl a couple of years ago. This San Fran team has a tough defense, so the Chiefs will be looking to give running back Jamaal Charles some serious running room so he can do the kind of damage that Chiefs fans have become accustomed to. The Kansas City defense will be looking to slow down quarterback Colin Kaepernick, whose legs make him a dual threat under center. Make sure to check out the full Chiefs schedule to see what else is in store for the team in 2014.

Kansas City Chiefs Team Info

The Kansas City Chiefs played very well in 2013, making the playoffs just one season after finishing with the worst record in the National Football League. One big reason for that turnaround was the acquisition of head coach Andy Reid, who had worn out his welcome in Philadelphia despite regularly making the postseason with the Eagles. The team also found themselves a starting quarterback in Alex Smith, who played very well in his first season in Kansas City, giving the team some stability at the quarterback position. The Chiefs also had a very opportunistic defense, one that capitalized on the mistakes of their opponents and created a lot of turnovers. Kansas City was unable to defeat the Indianapolis Colts in the first round on the postseason, and the team is looking to advance further in the playoffs in 2014.

Fan Experience

The National Football League presents fans with the chance to enjoy some of the most exciting sports action in the world on a regular basis. Every week the NFL schedule is packed with fantastic matchups between great teams, and folks all around the nation head out to see their favorite teams hit the field in person. When the Chiefs hit the field for an exciting matchup, you can bank on there being tens of thousands of passionate fans at their back, making the stadium the only place you need to be if you're a true fan looking for the complete NFL experience. As the Chiefs hope to put together a winning season that ends in a push towards the playoffs, there has never been a better time to head out to the stands so you can actually feel the buzz of the crowd for all the crucial moments of a big game.

Kansas City Chiefs Trivia

Did you know that Kansas City Chiefs star running back Jamaal Charles was not a first-round pick?

That's right; Charles was not selected by the Chiefs until the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Charles quickly showed that he was a star in the pro game and has had some huge seasons in Kansas City since.

Kansas City Chiefs History

The Kansas City Chiefs first took to the football field in 1960 when they were the Dallas Texans. The organization moved to Kansas City and became the Chiefs two years later. Owner Lamar Hunt was an integral part in establishing the American Football League, which would go on to merge with the National Football League to form much of the NFL as we know it today. The Chiefs won one Super Bowl, Super Bowl IV, but they have made it to the postseason more than 15 times over the course of their history, showing a track record of success in the National Football League. With former greats like Priest Holmes and Derrick Thomas, the Chiefs have seen plenty of premier players that have come through their roster, and now they're in an exciting new era that has fans thinking about watching their team get right back into the playoff hunt.Chiefs-Broncos tickets are always some of the hottest tickets around town, though there are plenty of other great matchups on the schedule each and every season.
