Kansas Jayhawks Football Schedule

Although it is mostly regarded as a basketball school, the Kansas Jayhawks also have some of the most passionate college football fans in the country. Although the Jayhawks had more than their fair share of struggles last season, Kansas Jappears ready to fly high in 2014 as they challenge for the Big 12 title this season. The Jayhawks are looking to take down some of the best teams in the college football ranks this time around, and they'll have the opportunity to do that regularly with such a tough home schedule. The Jayhawks have a number of top teams coming into Memorial Stadium in 2014, giving the fans of the football team plenty of opportunities to see the Jayhawks in a great match up.

The home schedule opens in Lawrence on September 6th when the Southeast Missouri State RedHawks come to Memorial Stadium to take on the Jayhawks. If Kansas hopes to have a bounce back season, a win against the RedHawks in their home opener is a must. Saturday September 27th is the first Big 12 home game for the Jayhawks as they take on the always tough Texas Longhorns. Texas could be a little vulnerable this season as it will be their first year under a new head coach and the Jayhawks could really use a statement victory against a powerhouse like Texas. The Team

The Kansas Jayhawks football program is a Division I team that plays in the Big 12 Conference. The Big 12 Conference is one of the top football conferences in the nation each and every season. The conference features the Iowa State Cyclones, Kansas State Wildcats, Kansas Jayhawks, Baylor Bears, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Oklahoma Sooners, TCU Horned Frogs, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Texas Longhorns and West Virginia Mountaineers. In 2012 Kansas State Wildcats finished atop the standings with an 11-2 record and an 8-1 mark in conference play.
