Kasey Chambers was born in Australia and grew up with her parents singing country songs to her and her brother. 1992, Chambers and her family were full time musicians with their band The Dead Ringer Band. In 1998 Chambers released her debut solo album The Captain which won the ARIA, which is Australia's version of the Grammys for best album.
