About Katchafire

New Zealand-based reggae band Katchafire initially started as a Bob Marley tribute band, and they went on to release their first full-length album, "Revival," in 2003. "Revival" introduced the vibrant energy of the band's music to fans all over, and the album quickly became popular not only in New Zealand, but elsewhere as well. The album's song "Giddy Up" became the best-selling single in New Zealand during the year of its release, and it helped "Revival" achieve double platinum status. Following their debut, Katchafire released their next album, "Slow Burning," in 2005, which produced singles like "Rude Girl," "Frisk Me Down," and "Hey Girl." The release of "Slow Burning" continued to build upon the band's reggae sound, bolstering their presence in the genre.

By 2007, Katchafire had returned to the studio and released their next album, titled "Say What You're Thinking," which reached the number 5 position on the charts in New Zealand. Aided by singles like "Love Letter," "Working," and the album's title track, this record marked another successful hit for the band.

Katchafire later released "On The Road Again" and "Best So Far," both of which landed on the number 3 spot on the New Zealand chart. In addition to their studio album releases, the band's songs have appeared on various compilation albums throughout the years, including albums like "Conscious Roots," "Off The Hook 3," and "Simply the Best Reggae Album." Since their inception, Katchafire's music has taken roots reggae fans by storm, and music listeners all over the world keep coming back for more of their unique, upbeat music.
