K-Ci and Jo-Jo Schedule

Brothers Joel and Cedric Hailey are better known as K-Ci and Jo-Jo. The R&B duo is responsible for some sweet, romantic ballads such as "All My Life" and "You Bring Me Up." It was K-Ci and Jo-Jo's first album that yielded them the type of crossover popularity that they could once only dream about. Still dedicated to their music today, K-Ci and Jo-Jo can be found at high-profile places like the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona. K-Ci and Jo-Jo Background

Joel (Jo-Jo) and Cedric (K-Ci) Hailey got into music early on. The brothers lent their vocals to church choirs in Charlotte, North Carolina, while also hitting the road with the gospel group their father belonged to. Their introduction to another set of brothers, DeVante and Dalvin Swing, led them to establish Jodeci. The quartet signed on with Uptown and issued three platinum albums over the course of four years in the early '90s. Following the arrival of The Show, the After Party, the Hotel, Jodeci's third effort, K-Ci and Jo-Jo collaborated to cut "How Could You." The tune was featured on the Bulletproof movie soundtrack. Additionally, they offered vocal support to "How Do U Want It," a hit by 2Pac. The brothers' side effort evolved into a full-blown team effort with the arrival of Love Always, their first official album. Their lead-off track was "You Bring Me Up," which cracked the Top 10 R&B charts. The next single off that album to hit the airwaves was "Last Night's Letter," which also proved to be successful. But it was "All My Life" that really made waves. The romantic ballad lit up both the R&B and pop charts at the beginning of 1998. The album itself sold more than four million copies, cementing Jodeci's fate to be unofficially shelved for a while. It's Real was K-Ci and Jo-Jo's sophomore album that also made its way to the Top 10. "Tell Me It's Real" was the golden song from that album, which climbed to No. 2 on the R&B and pop charts. The Haileys commemorated their decade-long music career with the release of X. As their third platinum album, X, spawned the smash "Crazy." The pair put the brakes on their recording pace at this time, taking the opportunity to work on material for a rumored Jodeci reunion record. Emotionalcame out in 2002. In 2008, Love in Japan arrived. Around this time, the brothers succumbed to the temptations of a hardcore party lifestyle, which ended up impacting their career. In 2010, TV One put the spotlight on K-Ci and Jo-Jo's efforts to recover from substance abuse. The documentary was called K-Ci & JoJo: Come Clean. In 2013, My Brother's Keeper came out.
